How to Start Tomatoes, Bercy Haiti Style

So one day I walked past a man working the soil near Herodes house. Edens told me he is preparing to plant tomatoes that he will start in the plot and then move to his garden.

The following day he built a frame-work of palm fronds around it. Boy, was I confused!

Sorry about the picture it was taken at 4:30 am.

Everyday he took more palm fronds and covered the garden of tomatoes. With in three days the tomatoes were up!

When in Bercy in November, I will be starting a vegetable garden on my property. These vegetables will be used to help people in the village. Seeing what this man did helps me with what I need to do.
